"The Sweetest Kill" by Broken Social Scene

To start this blog, I want to share one of my favorite videos by Broken Social Scene called "The Sweetest Kill." Perfect for the fall, I find this video to be quite morbid, but almost in an innocent way. Sort of like, Halloween, when all these kids dress up as scary and morbid creatures, but are just innocent kids. Of course, there's nothing innocent about murder. But, the feel of the video makes it seem like it's just a typical fall night. Almost as if she murders guys often, because she seems soothed by the ability to kill. The melody really makes the murder feel like a sweet act combining to the title of "The Sweetest Kill." I'm able to get lost in the morbid act because the song has such a calming tune that could possibly put anyone, ironically, to sleep.
